Tahoe Trip 2008

We spent a wonderful week in Tahoe, Ca with Grama (Ada), Joshua Sr, Joshua jr, and I. It was a fun trip and GOd was with us the entire way! Hope you enjoy the pictures!

Playing in the Rain

During my Baby Shower at home, I received a rain outfit for Jr that was for 12-24 months….. At that time it seemed so far away yet it has gotten here so quickly and not to mention right on time for the rainy season! So on November 3rd we wenty outside and played in the rain and what a good time we had… Love bug was a true explorer

Up to Date

Ahhh…. that is so much better! We are now up to date and in the month of November… We are only six days into this month but it is already proving to be pretty eventful! We have had the election of our 44th president (not our choice, but it is in Gods hands), Prop 8 passed (yay), and a myriad of other ungodly things have happened…. but God will prevail through it all!

Update—October

October followed the pattern of all of the moths before, BUSY! We went to Joe’s Crab Shack for Tyler’s birthday, a harvest festival, Apple Hill, Jesse and Tammy’s wedding, and I even got to see my Uncle Luke! With Love bug walking around and saying the sounds of most animals he also kept his self busy by extending his vocabulary to say “I love you, I like that, fine” and “hola!” He was into everything from kitchen cabinets to climbing up all types of furniture! He definently was keeping his pregnant mommy busy! At the end of this month we all went to a pirate party and love bug was our pirate dog.

Update—September

September was the moth that love bug officially became a toddler! He fell a ton but enjoyed every fall! He enjoyed doing all of the signs for the itsy bitsy spider and a miriad of other things like light, fan and more. He was and still is (in November) in the immatating stage and he enjoys picking up phones and saying “hi” and walking around like daddy! He enjoyed learning how to give hugs and still enjoys giving nice wet kisses! He went to his first pumkin patch and had a great time picking his pumkin, ridding a hay ride, going on a train and seeing all the animals that we sing about in Old MacDonnald, which is still his favorite book!

Updating the World—March

Wow I havent placed a post since Feburary! A lot has happened…

March….During this month the lil love bug learned how to bear weight on jus hands and knees, take steps with assistance, and go from his tummy to a sitting position. This is also the month that we had his baby dedication on the 16th. His life verse is Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go… We want him to grow up knowing that our God is always with him.

Updating the World—April

April was another fun month. Joshua was able to get on all fours, splash in the tub, push up, stand from sitting  and says “da da da da” and “ba ba ba ba”. This was also a very special month, he had the opportunity to meet his grandfather, they had a wonderful time together! He also meet his newest baby cousin Marcel II.

Updating the World—May

During the month of May lil love was crawling and enjoyed cruising around. He said “mama” a ton but mostly when he was crying in the middle of the night. In the church nursery he enjoyed placing the proper ball in the ball hole. He enjoyed giving kisses and singing the “Bababa” song. This was also Mommy’s first official Mothers day!

Updating the World—June

Fathers day was apart of this month and both of the Joshes fully enjoyed each other! Love bug could now stand freely, say mama and dada indiscriminately, clap, say “uh-oh”, waves hi and bye and more. Love bug went swimming with Auntie Kristen and got to meet the Monroe family.. Over all another great month.

Update—July

During the month of July love bug was doing all kinds of new things! He was getting more proficient in baby sign language and placing multiple words together while attempting to talk. He has said “hi mama, hi dada, thank you, hannah” now don’t get me wrong, he was not saying them all the time…. everything is at his leisure, lol This month  he also started raising his hands to “praise God” and has started to notice all of the airplanes that fly overhead. He enjoys “mooing” like a cow, giving hi fives and taking steps.

This month was also a very busy one…it was filled with a family reunion, the 4th of July, Grace’s B-Day party, his god-fathers wedding, meeting his cousin Kimora, and more….we had a very exciting month!

Update—August

What a fun month this was! Love bug was learning how to walk taking up to 12 steps by himself! He was showing recognition of animals and singing more and more. He had the honor of going to Grama’s graduation of her bachelors degree! He even had two birthday parties one in So-Cal the other in Sac. He had tons of fun! Cousin Jaylyn even came over for a day to play and had tons of fun! Joshua was even invited to another birthday party, his friend Mateo was turning one. This is also the month that Mommy found out she was pregnant!

Welcome Gabriel

Gabriel Richard Okeme Wood was born on March 23, 2009 at 7:49 am weighing in at 6lbs 1oz and 18.5 inches long!
